Japan’s ancient capital for more than 1,000 years, Kyoto is a treasure-trove of cultural riches, including UNESCO World Heritage temples, shrines, and gardens.
October 20, 21 & 22.

Ride the Shinkansen high speed train from Fukuoka to Kyoto, and enjoy a bento box lunch. We have three days to explore a treasure trove of historical and cultural riches, as well enjoy as many hands-on learning experiences.

TOKYO

October 23 & 24.

Board another Shinkansen and ride from Kyoto to Tokyo, to continue our exploration of Tokyo, with myriad choices to delight and surprise you. Meet the best chef of Italian cuisine in Japan (T.C.’s personal opinion) at his cozy Ginza restaurant where we have our Farewell Dinner. It will be a memorable evening!

Single Supplement: $3,850

International commercial air to/from Japan is not included. Ten percent of the per-person expedition price will be donated in the traveler’s name to Mercy Corps who will use the funds to support communities affected by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
